"I come from a different country and was afraid that the hypnotherapy might not be possible with second language. I also wasn’t sure if my issue was able to be sorted out by hypnotherapy. "After years of missed opportunities both socially and professionally because of a problem with blushing I decided it was time to do something about it. I arranged to meet Catherine for a consultation not really sure of what I was getting myself into or whether she would even be able to help. She immediately put my mind at rest - for the first time my blushing problem was taken seriously and, in her friendly yet professional manner, she assured me that together we would combat it and the best bit, it would only take a few sessions.

I was fairly open-minded about hypnotherapy but I suppose a part of me was sceptical - how could a life time's problem disappear in just a few weeks without medication?? Once these were established I entered into my own imagination and was able to reverse my thinking and ultimately change my mindset.

The sessions did only last a few weeks and although hypnotherapy was not an overnight fix, it required dedication to practice techniques and understand my behaviour, it certainly led to change that happened so subtly that I was hardly aware of it until I realised that a few months on I was speaking up in meetings, running events and going on dates, and not once did I go red. I have developed a new confidence that stems from being completely comfortable with being me, not the way I look or how much money I earn. For the first time in my life I feel in control of my behaviour, and in turn in control of my future.

I highly recommend hypnotherapy if you have an open mind, and if you haven't I would still encourage you to have a consultation with Catherine because she is so personable and sure that she will be able to help you that I think you may be swayed. If I hadn't taken the plunge to make that first appointment I would probably still be the quiet girl that didn't participate in meetings and would rather stay in than go out and meet people.
